The Inuit people call the polar bear Na’nuq, the Master of Bears. They believe he is powerful, mighty and “almost man.” After taking a year off in 2019 to visit Svalbard, and a postponement in 2020 due to COVID, Char returned to Churchill, Manitoba in November 2021, to see her bears. Come and share her adventure and see why the polar bear is “almost man.”

Women students at St Scholastica asked if we are interested in a mentoring program…. they think of the DWC as an inspirational organization, want to get to know us better and learn how to navigate career paths from professional women. We will host a meet and greet on Tuesday, April 12 from 5-7 pm at the club. We will serve coffee, tea and light snacks. Please come to meet and chat with these women. Spring is in the air, and now is the time to start thinking about purchasing a few items for your wardrobe! Once again, we will host our Cabi specialist, Julie Dowd, who will feature her new spring line. To make it easy for you to shop, we’re offering two times…. Wednesday, March 30 from 4 pm to 7 pm and Thursday, March 31 from 10 am to 1 pm. Come once or both times for a glass of wine and hors d’oeuvres on Wednesday afternoon and coffee and breakfast sweets on Thursday morning. Position Title: Club Administrator
Reports To: Executive Committee of the Board
Job Classification: Non-Exempt
Days/Hours: Hours vary by season and membership numbers, minimum 15/wk

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:
· Supervises all club activities including:
o Respectfully communicates with members and guests
o Supervises of all contractors and staff
o Manages all club events
o Schedules and supervises all private parties
o Prepares financial reports as needed
o Makes deposits and enters them into QuickBooks
o Pays invoices in QuickBooks
o Follows strict internal controls as defined by the finance committee
· Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:
· Able to work well with members, staff, and the board of directors
· Committed to providing excellent service in a timely manner
· Able to use a computer for accounting and clerical duties such as Microsoft Office Suite and QuickBooks
· Able to work independently
· Willing to work flexible hours
· Able to work well with diverse clients
· Willing to work flexible hours
· Culinary experience in calculating food costs and food portion control
· Comfortable wearing PPE
· Able to access and navigate all three floors at the club
· Able to sit, stand, bend, stretch, twist, and reach as well as stand for long periods of time
· Able to lift at least 10lbs
· Able to read and understand information verbally and in written form

Duties:
· Attend meetings as required or requested
· Implement policies established by the board
· Coordinate special events with direction from the Special Events committee chair
· Work with other board committees on events
· Maintain and update membership lists
· Work with Directory Chair to prepare and distribute the Directory and all other bulk membership mailings
· Perform light daily housekeeping
· Plan menu events with contractors and staff
· Perform kitchen tasks including set-up and cleanup
· Assist in planning and coordinating menus for all events
· Work with the marketing committee to promote use of the club
· Take reservations for club events
· Create floor plans for events
· Purchase supplies for the club as needed
· Follow current budget and monitor costs
· Code monthly bills
· Collect and deposit all monies due to the Club promptly
· Keep records of all contributions, events, and membership events
· Work with the finance committee to develop the annual budget
· Maintain financial invoices and reports
· Record all revenue for end-of-month financial P&L report
· Prepare and maintain Invoice and Expense records

Work authorization:
· United States (Required)

Pay Frequency:
· Biweekly
