Thank you for making the 2021 DWC Tour of Homes & Gardens such a fabulous success! Club members Ellie Dryer, Marisa Hoogenakker, Jean Olson and Pam Williams graciously welcomed more than 425 guests to their homes, and they were delighted by all the positive comments for our determination in bringing the tour back. Ellie also dazzled guests with her spectacular gardens, with Dr. Waseem Khan and Betty Sola sharing their unique and breathtaking waterfront displays. None of this would have been possible without the dedicated club volunteers and club manager Kathy LaTour, who tirelessly met the challenges of planning the tour during a pandemic. The DTA bus turnaround was converted into an outdoor dining area, with special menus offered by local food trucks from Valentini’s, Oasis del Norte and Love Creamery. The vendors were thrilled, the guests were happy and well fed, and it was so heartwarming to listen to all the lively conversations that we have missed
so much. An all-around wonderful way to
spend a day with old and new friends.
