DWC Board Notes The Board recently approved creating a Building and Grounds adhoc committee to finish managing the on-going tuck pointing and window projects. This committee will be led by Ellie Dryer who has managed these two projects from the beginning and will be coordinating

Board Training Meeting

There will be a special board training meeting on Thursday, June 2, 2022 from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm at the Club. The agenda will cover what it means to be a board member, club history, financial information, challenges and opportunities, and a chance for old and new officers and committee chairs to exchange ideas and information. Lunch will be served.
All 2021-2022 board members and newly elected board members are invited to attend.

Lester Park/Brighton Beach Photo Walk: Wednesday, June 1

 Let’s welcome June by exploring the Lester Park area and walk on the paved Lakewalk trail to Brighton Beach. We will gather on Wednesday, June 1 at 1 pm in the parking lot off Lester River Road. All welcome! The river will be running fast with all the recent rain, and the world continues to “green up” down by the lake.
Directions: From downtown Duluth, travel east on London Road to 60th Avenue East.
Take a left on 60th Avenue East.
Take a right on Superior Street.
Cross over the river and take a left on Lester River Road.
Parking lot on the left!

Photo Walk: May 18 on East Lakewalk

All are welcome to join Lucy Kragness and members of the DWC Camera Club for a photo walk on Wednesday, May 18. We will meet in the parking lot on 26th Ave East and London Road at 1 pm. The Inuit people call the polar bear Na’nuq, the Master of Bears. They believe he is powerful, mighty and “almost man.” After taking a year off in 2019 to visit Svalbard, and a postponement in 2020 due to COVID, Char returned to Churchill, Manitoba in November 2021, to see her bears. Come and share her adventure and see why the polar bear is
