Week of June 6 – June 10, 2022

DWC Board Notes

The Board recently approved creating a Building and Grounds adhoc committee to finish managing the on-going tuck pointing and window projects. This committee will be led by Ellie Dryer who has managed these two projects from the beginning and will be coordinating with the current Building and Grounds Committee.

Programs

We want to know what you think! Who would you like to hear speak? What would you like to learn about? Our Friday programs have been successful because you provide suggestions and creative ideas. Continuing in that tradition, please send your thoughts to Pam Williams, pamelarwillliams52@gmail.com or 202-352-8168. Contact info for speakers is always appreciated.

Peace Garden Renovation

The next time you’re at the club, be sure to see the renovated Peace Garden!

Let’s head to Fond du Lac and the St Louis River!

Directions from Downtown Duluth:
Take I-35 S to the Grand Avenue exit (left lane exit #251);
Head on Grand Avenue/Highway 23 for about 9 miles to Fond du Lac;
Drive through Fond du Lac and take the first right after the Highway 210 turn. Stay on Minnesota side of the river!
There’s a covered picnic area where we can chat after exploring!
