Week of April 26 – 30, 2021

We will continue to follow CDC guidelines and require that all who enter the club will need to wear a mask. Thank you for complying.

The Community Outreach group will be organizing a neighborhood cleanup sometime late next week

Please contact Marisa Hoogenakker if you are interested in helping us keep the neighborhood around our club clean.
It’s a great opportunity to meet our neighbors and be

DWC Tour of Homes and Gardens

Mark your calendars for Wednesday, July 21 from 10 am to 4 pm. Since the club’s kitchen remains closed, planning committee members have lined up food trucks for Superior Street, where tour guests may purchase their own lunches. The DWC clubhouse will be one of the 5 beautiful homes on the tour, as well as 3 spectacular gardens. Thank you for helping spread the word that the tour is on, at a reduced price of $30. As the main fundraiser for the club, please say “yes” to volunteering to help make this reimagined tour a success. Ticket sales begin June 1, and CDC Covid-19 guidelines are being followed.

Photo walk on Wednesday, April 28
The pelicans are back! We will explore on Wednesday, April 28 from 1-2:30 pm at Chambers Grove Park along the St Louis River in Fond du Lac. There’s a nice walking trail loop, and many picnic tables and benches to watch the pelicans along the river.
Directions from Downtown Duluth:

Take I-35 S to the Grand Avenue exit (left lane exit #251);
Head on Grand Avenue/Highway 23 for about 9 miles
to Fond du Lac;
Drive through Fond du Lac and take the first right after the Highway 210 turn. Stay on Minnesota side of the river!

“Snow in April is abominable,” said Anne. “Like a slap in the face when you expected a kiss.”
