Our sympathy in the passing of long time member
Phyllis Mary James 1924-2021

Thank you

Last Friday was such a beautiful summer day for a picnic on our own back terrace, in our Garden Room and the Porch.   It was a real homecoming, a chance to catch up with each other and just enjoy spending time in our Club to share and enjoy a laugh or two.  Many Thanks to Pam Williams and the Membership committee, the Decorating committee, the Dining Room Committee and Kathy LaTour.
With three delicious choices for entrees and a decadent
chocolate dessert, the lunch was a great success!! Kudos!
 Patty

Wonderful news for our Club! Ellie Dryer received an unexpected call from her former colleague, friend, and current member, Kathy Noble. As a result of the letter sent to all members describing our needs to fund tuckpointing, she offered $100,000 in Target stock for exterior repairs to the club with making tuckpointing the priority and at the direction of the Building and Grounds committee. To that end, a brokerage account has already been established to receive that stock. Johnston Masonry should be offering a proposal with
three different degrees of repair this week.
Kathy is making this generous gift  to honor the memory of her mother, Kay Noble. She was a long time member of the club and loved to play bridge with her friends.
Thank you from the bottom of our hearts, Kathy!

A request from the decorating committee

The decorating committee has been hard at work organizing and cleaning our storage areas. If you have items you would like to donate; please check with us first to make sure that we have a need and storage for your contribution. We will continue to request help for specific items as we work on special projects. Also, we ask that wreaths, centerpieces, etc. not be disassembled. Many of these are seasonal items that are reused by the decorating committee.
Thank you for your continued support.

Rose Garden Photo Walk: Wednesday, June 30

Let’s end June photographing roses! With each week bringing new blooms, we are exploring the Rose Garden and the Lakewalk this summer. We will meet on Wednesday, June 30 at 1 pm at the parking lot by the Rose Garden on 13th Avenue East and London Road. After checking out the Rose Garden, we will walk on the paved Lakewalk. If you would rather skip the walk, there are benches in the park and along the Lakewalk. Plus we will see the scenic train full of visitors admiring the beautiful area we are so fortunate to call home.

The Duluth Woman’s Club will be following CDC Guidelines regarding Covid 19
