Friday, February 5th Zoom Program
Presented by Heidi Dulebohn, International Consultant

Many of you may know Heidi as she was a member of the DWC from 2005-2015. Heidi will speak on Zoom Etiquette and etiquette in general in the time of Covid. She will also discuss opportunities for the virtual world and how we can step forward and take advantage. It will be fun to catch up with Heidi so plan to log on a bit early for a pre=program chat time.

Char McConnell

I was born and raised in Duluth. I graduated from Stanbrook Hall high school and received my Bachelor’s Degree in Management and Communications from Concordia College and my Masters in Health Care Administration from the University of St. Francis in Illinois.

I have worked in health care all of my working life and have been extremely fortunate to do so. I worked at SMDC, later named Essentia, for 32 years.  I was Director of Business Services at the time that I left there to move to Minneapolis where I worked for a short time as
Vice President  of Business Development for Intellirisk. I was recruited to Eau Claire, Wis. and worked as Director of Patient Financial Services at Sacred Heart Hospital.

At this point I was missing Duluth and was fortunate to be hired at St. Luke’s Hospital as Clinic Manager for St. Luke’s Internal Medicine Associates. I retired in 2015 and I miss the rewards of  working in the healthcare setting.

My son Mark lives in Sacramento, Calif., and is an IT Manager for Bonneville Communications. My husband Geoff is a Psychologist and will retire, “sometime.” I enjoy golfing and in the past have enjoyed sailing with the Wednesday crew on Lake Superior for many years. I also enjoy walking, reading, and traveling.

My husband and I recently lived in Florida and upon our return to Duluth moved into the Chateau Apartments on London Road. Luckily, that caused me to become acquainted with Lois Maine and Claudia Reed. Between the two of them, they encouraged me to  join the Duluth Woman’s Club. Since joining, it has been a pleasure meeting new people and I have found my spot playing Canasta. I look forward to the time that we can all be together again.

Park Point Trail Photo Walk: January 13

Mother Nature continues to smile on ourphoto walks! Forecast looks grand for exploring the Park Point Trail on Wednesday, January 13. We will meet at 1 pm by Sky Harbor Airport, which is at the end of Minnesota Avenue on Park Point. The trail is in great shape,
and it’s an easy winter walk in the old growth forest. Fun times!
