Week of February 14 – 18, 2022

Thank You!

I want to Thank all the members for their generosity of contributions and I am gratefully appreciative.
I was overwhelmed with emotion when I received this check. I never thought 20 years would go by so fast. I have enjoyed working for all of you in so many capacities, from getting to know each and every one of you through the years, to planning your lunches, creating events, keeping track of your memberships, etc. etc. etc. and most importantly the value of the friendships has been priceless. I will always treasure and never forget the memories I take with me.
Best Wishes to all members for your many
years of support.

Sincerely, Kathy LaTour

Tuesday Games Groups

Tell us what you think! Elaine Hansen, Char Taylor and Pam Williams will be in the club on Tuesday, Feb 15 at 10:30 am to host a one-hour listening session. Some of you have moved on to other venues, but we want you to come back to the Duluth Woman’s Club to play bridge, canasta and Mahjongg. This is your opportunity to let us know what you want on Tuesdays and what it would take for you to return. Please let Pam Williams know if you will attend pamelarwilliams52@gmail.com or 202-352-8168.

Great News!

Ellie Dryer and returning member Betty Sola have volunteered to co-chair the 2022 Tour of Homes and Gardens. Don’t wait to be contacted to volunteer. Please email Ellie at dryere@gmail.com to offer your assistance.

Galapagos! It’s Not Just about the Tortoises
 By Ellie Dryer

A mountain city, an ocean cruise, fantastic food, and exotic islands, all in one 11-day trip. A two hour flight from Quito, Ecuador, the Galapagos Islands are a nature lover’s dream. Ellie will show you the amazing birds, fish, and yes, the giant tortoises. Discover the islands where Charles Darwin conducted his research of evolution. For sure, a bucket list trip you will want to explore.
A plated hot lunch will be served by chef Gary Schneider of G. B. Schneider restaurant. This will be a great way to return to the club.

The DWC book club was to meet on Feb 17, discussing The Lincoln Highway. I have not heard from any of our members.
Do they want a book club or not?
So, I have decided to cancel our Book Club for now.
