After you sign up for a shift with Marisa you
will receive information on safety guidelines and
be required to watch a training video.
Items that Adults & Children are in need of:
For Men, Women and Children of all ages: Winter Hats, Gloves,
Mittens and Scarves, Socks.
Toiletries, tooth paste & brushes, deodorant, shampoo, body wash,
bars of soap, toilet paper.
There will be a blue bin placed by the front door for drop off.
The deadline will be by Friday December 18th, 2020

DWC members Helen Smith Stone and Candy Adams are featured in this February 23, 2021 story on Fox 21. Northern Lights Machine Quilters Guild members have so far made 60 quilts in their year-long project for children and their families staying at the Ronald McDonald House Northland, which recently opened in Duluth. As Helen shared during the interview: “Quilts are made with love one stitch at a time.”
Members of the Duluth Womans Club help out in many ways throughout our community. Last June, 26 club members and guests assembled over 6,000 face shields that were sent to Essentia Health. That’s 402 in 15 minutes! Members also raised $1,000 for Safe Haven Shelter for Battered Women.

Warm up on a Lester Park photo walk on Thursday, October 29. We will meet at 1 pm in the Lester Park lot and “return to the deeps” along Amity Creek. It’s a rocky trail that follows the creek uphill; it was one of our first walks in the spring.
We will gather in the parking lot off Lester River Road. Halloween costumes optional!
Directions: From downtown Duluth, travel east on London Road to 60th Avenue East.
Take a left on 60th Avenue East.
